Connect Bosch eBike displays to komoot
You can connect komoot to Bosch-powered eBike displays to navigate routes and automatically sync completed activities to your komoot account.
Bosch uses different systems depending on your device:
- Bosch eBike Flow
- Bosch eBike Connect
- COBI.Bike system
Note: Live Sync is currently available only for devices that use the eBike Flow system.
To find out which Bosch system your device uses and which app is required, see the Bosch compatibility overview.
Follow the steps for your system in each section below.
Connect your device
To connect komoot with your Bosch system, you need a komoot account and the eBike Flow app.
- Log in to the eBike Flow app
- Go to Settings > Connected services > komoot
- Select Connect and log in to your komoot account using the same email address shown in the komoot app under Profile > Settings > Profile info
- Select Grant access
Note: Not all Bosch accounts work across all Bosch apps. If you cannot log in to the eBike Flow app with an existing Bosch account, create a new account in the Flow app.
For details about account compatibility (including older Bosch services and COBI accounts), see this Bosch Help Center article.
To set up the connection, you need both a komoot account and a Bosch eBike Connect account.
If you do not have a Bosch account yet, create one on the Bosch website.
To navigate a route on your device, you must have unlocked the region where your route starts: unlock a region
- Open your eBike Connect account and go to Route Planning > My routes
- Select Connect with komoot
- Confirm and log in to your komoot account
- Select Grant access
- Open the Bosch eBike Connect app
- Select More > Settings
- Enable the komoot toggle under Connected apps
- Log in and grant access
To set up the connection, you need a komoot account and the COBI.Bike app.
- Open the COBI.Bike app
- Go to Settings > Connected accounts
- Enable komoot
- Log in and grant access
Sync routes to your device
Routes must be saved as the Cycling sport in komoot to sync to your Bosch device. In addition, only routes from regions you have unlocked are transferred.
Devices using the eBike Flow systemsync routes automatically in the background when your device and the Flow app are connected to the internet.
Tip: eBike Flow supports Live Sync, allowing you to send routes directly from komoot to your eBike display for navigation.
Note:
- Routes longer than 250 km are not imported to Bosch
- Completed activities longer than 150 m are uploaded back to komoot
Nyon and Kiox use the eBike Connect system. After connecting your accounts, routes are transferred through the Bosch system.
- Nyon: Routes sync when the device connects to WiFi
- Kiox: Routes sync when your smartphone is connected
Note:
- Routes longer than 240 km are not transferred
- Only activities longer than 500 m are uploaded to komoot
COBI devices use the COBI.Bike app. Routes are made available in the app once your accounts are connected and the app has an internet connection.
If routes do not appear, make sure your device is connected to the internet, that your apps are up to date, and that you are logged into the correct komoot account. See Troubleshooting Bosch devices for detailed steps.
Navigating on your device
Navigation display and rerouting are handled directly by Bosch on your device. To start navigation, make sure you have unlocked the komoot region where your route begins.
- In komoot, select Navigate with device and choose your connected Bosch device
- Start navigation directly from your eBike display (the eBike Flow app must be running in the background)
Routes are available under Map & Navigation > Saved routes.
- Open Navigation > Where to go?
- Select the komoot icon
Disconnect komoot
To disconnect, open Settings > Connected services > komoot in the Flow app and Disconnect komoot.
To disconnect, remove the komoot connection in the eBike Connect website or app under Connected apps or Privacy Settings.
To disconnect, disable komoot in the COBI.Bike app under Settings > Connected accounts.
