Connecting with TwoNav
If you own one of the following TwoNav devices, you can set up a connection to komoot and use your komoot Tours on your TwoNav device. At the same time, you can sync completed Tours from your device back to komoot.
Note: Tours can only be transferred to TwoNav if the region, in which the Tour starts, is unlocked in komoot.
How to set up the connection
To use komoot on your TwoNav device you need to connect your komoot account with your GO TwoNav account. In case you don't have a GO TwoNav account yet, you'll need to create one either on the GO TwoNav webpage or in the TwoNav app. For the connection to work, you need to be logged in with your TwoNav account on your device.
- Log in to your TwoNav account via the GO TwoNav website
- Click on your name in the top right corner
- Select "Settings"
- In the Connected services section "Connect" with komoot
- You’ll be redirected to the komoot website where you need to enter your komoot account credentials and login to your account
- Allow TwoNav access to your komoot account by clicking Grant Access
Now the connection is established.
Attention: To ensure you are establishing the connection to the same komoot account, that you are using on the phone, please compare the used email address in your komoot profile settings in the app: Profile > Settings () > Profile Information.
Transferring Tours between komoot and TwoNav
After planning a komoot Tour or saving an already existing one to your komoot profile, you can make it available for navigation on your device. This is how you find komoot Tours on the TwoNav device:
- Log in to your TwoNav device and turn on WiFi
- Open the main menu (3 lines on the bottom left)
- Choose "Routes"
- Click on the three dots on the bottom right
- Select "My Online Routes"
- Press "Komoot planned routes"
- Select the route you want to download
Once TwoNav GO Cloud is enabled, the completed Tours from your TwoNav device will automatically sync to your TwoNav profile and from there to your komoot profile.
Tip: To enable TwoNav GO Cloud follow these steps on the device: "Menu" > "Settings" > "Go Cloud" > "Sync".
Navigating komoot Tours on a TwoNav device
Once you have downloaded a komoot Tour to your TwoNav device, you can use it for navigation. On your TwoNav device:
- Press the "Start" button on the map p
- Choose "Follow a route"
- Select the Tour you previously downloaded from komoot
- A preview of the tour will be displayed.
- Press "Go" to start navigating
After completing a navigation, your Tour will automatically sync to your TwoNav profile and from there to your Komoot profile.
Disconnecting komoot from TwoNav devices
If you want to disconnect your komoot and TwoNav profiles, you can currently only do so via the GO TwoNav website. Follow this steps to disconnect:
- Login to the GO TwoNav website
- Click on your name in the top right corner
- Select "Settings"
- In the Connected services section hit "Disconnect" next to Komoot
Once terminated, TwoNav will no longer have access to your komoot account. In instances where devices are managed by this connection, the impact this will have on your device depends on specific models/manufacturers. You may lose data and Tours that are saved on disconnected third-party devices.
