Komoot offers seven main sport types to help personalize your outdoor adventures. These sports include:

  • Hiking
  • Running
  • Cycling
  • Road cycling
  • Mountain biking
  • Gravel riding
  • Bikepacking

By selecting your favorite sports, you’ll:

  • See Collections of routes related to your favorite sports on your komoot feed
  • Get regular updates on top Highlights for related activities in your area
  • Keep your settings optimized for the best personalized recommendations

Selecting your favorite sports

When setting up a new account with komoot, you'll be asked about your favorite activities, and prompted to select your favorite. Don't worry if your interests change–you can always update your favorite sports directly in your komoot settings:

To update your favorite sports in the komoot app, follow these steps:
  1. Tap the Profile icon.
  2. Go to  Settings.
  3. Go to Account.
  4. Select Favorite sports.
  5. Select Your sports.
  6. Select Your favorite sport.
To update your favorite sports on the website, follow these steps:
  1. Click More (⋯) next to your username.
  2. Select  Settings.
  3. Go to Account.
  4. Select your Top sports.

Your sport preferences influence the customized emails you'll receive from komoot. We'll send updates about inspirational Highlights and route Collections with great reviews in your area, related to your favorite sports.
