When you want to share your content with others you have a couple of different options, depending on the type of content and privacy settings, tailored to your needs.

Saved Routes

When you hit the share button on a saved (planned) Route, you get the options to

  • Share the route via a link - to various channels of simply copy and paste it.
  • Share the route via a QR code - a variation of the link that you can also click and download.

Group Activities

You also have the option to organise a group tour, that enables you to change the route and everyone who accepted the group ride invitation then always receives your updates. Check out THIS article to learn everything about organising group rides.

Completed Activities

When you hit the share button on a completed activity, you get the options to

  • Post it on social media - directly to Instagram or you download the stats / map image.
  • Share the link to the activity - to various channels of simply copy and paste it.
  • Tag other participants in your activity - the ones who joined you for your adventure or the ones you got the route from.

komoot Embeds

When you want to embed and iFrame on your website it works for both - but only in the komoot web version - not in the app.

Privacy & Content availability

Once you shared your content in any form, make sure not to change the privacy settings or delete content as the links will then lead to a 401 failure message. Make sure you have the ownership over the content you share.

PS. If you want to include your routes and activities into print products have a look at this article.
