Komoot Badge Challenge on Garmin Connect
Starting on March 1st 2024, Garmin is running a promotion in collaboration with komoot, where a free trial of komoot Premium can be won upon successful completion of the challenge. Once you have successfully concluded the komoot Badge Challenge on Garmin Connect and received your voucher, the voucher must be redeemed in your komoot profile and the free trial activated before April 15, 2024. After this date, the codes will no longer be valid, and the trial can no longer be started.
To Redeem the Voucher
- Log in to your Garmin account on your laptop or desktop computer at www.connect.garmin.com.
- Find the completed challenge and click "get your reward". This takes you to the komoot website.
- Create a komoot account or log in to your existing account.
- Save the code in your profile and activate the free trial.
In order to active the free trial after successful completion of the challenge, it is a requirement to enter Credit Card or PayPal account details, to be set up and ready to go for the regular Premium subscription. The subscription will start right after the trial, and you will get charged to your selected payment method. In the event that you do not want to proceed with an active subscription, it's important to cancel before the 90 days are up. No charges will be made until the trial is over, and a reminder email will be sent to you shortly before the trial ends and the payment is taken, so you can make an informed decision.
If you are using Garmin Connect on your phone, where you are also logged in to the komoot app, the process for redeeming the voucher may be a bit different, if your phone is set up to open the corresponding application when clicking on a link.
Please note that the voucher can only be redeemed on our website, not within the komoot app. Should a Desktop Computer or Laptop not be at your disposal, most phones have an option in the settings to deactivate the automatic opening of applications. If this is switched off, the link should open the mobile browser where the voucher can be redeemed.
Alternatively, you can also take the following steps to redeem the voucher
- Open your komoot app and verify that your correct email address is displayed under profile > settings cogwheel > profile information
- Set a new password if you forgot the one you are currently using - then log out of the app
- The button from the Connect App will now redirect you to the komoot website in your mobile browser, where you can log in and redeem the voucher
Additional information
- If you do not complete the activation flow for the trial right away, make sure to come back to our store before April 15, 2024, otherwise the trial will expire.
- If you have a current Premium subscription, the trial is unfortunately not available to you.
- If you have a current Premium subscription that is cancelled and set to expire before April 15, 2024, you can complete the process to redeem the voucher and activate the trial as soon as your current Premium subscription has fully expired and is no longer active in your account.
- If you want to give the trial to another komoot user, you can write down the voucher code that you see on the little gift card image, exit the page without redeeming the code and a friend can then enter the code under www.komoot.com/account/gift.
