You can unsubscribe from komoot emails at any time via your profile settings. This article describes how to unsubscribe from the weekly send Highlight and Tour recommendations or the monthly product update newsletter.

Tip: This article explains how to manage other notifications.

Note: Make sure that you are logged into the account for which you want to unsubscribe from certain emails. Check which email address you receive the emails to and compare it with your profile information (in the App: Profile () > Settings () > Profile information or via the account settings on the website).

How to unsubscribe from emails

Unsubscribe from the weekly Highlight and Tour recommendations

You can tell if a particular notification is active if it is highlighted colored. By clicking on the phone () or email-icon () you will unsubscribe from the particular notification. To unsubscribe from the weekly Highlight and Tour recommendations disable Tips for Highlights in my region.

  1. Log in to the account from which you want to unsubscribe from certain emails
  2. Click More () next to your username

  3. Select Settings
  4. Click   Notifications
  5. Disable Tips for Highlights in my region


Unsubscribe from the product update newsletter

  1. Log in to the account from which you want to unsubscribe
  2. Click More () next to your username

  3. Select Settings
  4. Choose  Email settings
  5. Disable Receive emails from komoot

Note: Since the mailing lists are prepared earlier in advance, you might receive one more mail after unsubscribing.

Note: Since the mailing lists are prepared earlier in advance, you might receive one more mail after unsubscribing.

Attention: If you have created multiple accounts on komoot, you may continue receiving emails. If you continue receiving emails from komoot, please check the email address that they are sent to and log into that exact account.

I still receive emails after unsubscribing

Since the mailing lists are prepared earlier in advance before the emails are sent, you might receive one more mail after unsubscribing. In case you receive another email after that, please check the email address to which the mails are sent and ensure you unsubscribe for exactly this email address by following the above-mentioned steps

Attention for iOS-users: Please also check the sender email address. In case you received the email from notification@komoot.de unsubscribe for the email address you received the email to. In case the sender email address contains @privaterelay.appleid.com, you will need to log in using the Apple-login option (by clicking on the Apple icon, instead of using your email address to log in to komoot) and unsubscribe for this account.
