Managing your safety contacts
If you use the Live Tracking feature of komoot Premium, you can share your current position with people you trust. You can create up to three safety contacts. These people are automatically notified as soon as you start a Tour and Live Tracking is activated. The safety contacts will then receive your current position via email and push notification.

Adding safety contacts
You can add close friends, users you follow and your followers as safety contacts.
Tip: Learn how to manage your followers and close friends.
- Go to your Profile > Settings > Live Tracking > scroll down and click Manage Contacts.
- Here you can add those people you want to be your safety contacts.
If you want to know which people added you as one of their safety contacts, you find another tab on the top saying “Added you”.
Attention: You can set a maximum of three people as safety contacts. If you want to add a new person as a safety contact, you have to remove an existing one. The people you want to add as safety contacts must have a komoot account, but not be a premium member.
Removing someone as a safety contact
To remove a person from the list of your safety contact:
- Go to your Profile > Settings > Live Tracking > Manage Contacts.
- Click on the green word “added” next to the person you want to remove.
- Choose “remove.”
