Receiving tips for a different region
If you’re receiving tips and Highlights via email for the wrong region, you can change the location stored in the app. Open the app with the GPS signal activated. Komoot will recognize your location and we’ll send tips for that region next time.
If you have used komoot on a holiday trip and haven't reopened the app at home yet, we will continue to send you tips for the location of your last trip. When you open the app again, we’ll automatically correct the location for the next emails.
You might get Highlight mails for the wrong location up to a week after you change your location.
If there are only a few Highlights in your immediate area, you might be receiving Highlight emails for a larger region. This is generated automatically. We cannot manually update or limit the radius you receive tips for.
