If the display turns off while using the screen display for the komoot navigation, please check the following points to troubleshoot the issue:

Android

  • Touch the speaker icon during navigation. If the "wake screen" setting is enabled on komoot, the screen is only activated before intersections.
  • Have you activated energy-saving settings? If so, deactivate these for komoot and try again.
  • Does your device have a compass (please ask the manufacturer or look up technical details)? If not, gps can’t function and you won’t be able to use komoot.
  • Are the tracking services activated? (They should be set to “always” for komoot)
  • Are the latest versions of Android and the komoot app installed?
  • Have you tried restarting the app? 
  • Are there any magnetic objects nearby when using the app (e.g. extra battery, bag with magnetic closure)?

iOS

  • Does your device have a compass (please ask the manufacturer or look up technical details)? If not, GPS can’t function and you won’t be able to use komoot.
  • Check the location services are activated for your phone, and specifically for the komoot app: Settings > Privacy > Location services "On"; komoot > While using
  • Are the latest versions of iOS and the komoot app installed on the iPhone?
  • Have you tried restarting the app? 
  • Are there any magnetic objects nearby when you use the app (extra battery, bag with magnetic closure)?
