Have you unlocked any regions?
In this case it is important to download the maps in the app to make them available offline. How to do this is explained here. Only when you have downloaded the maps in the Regions section of the app (globe icon) will they be available offline, otherwise we will pull them from the Internet. Depending on your connection, you may not see any maps.
You can view the maps in the app by starting a recording. This will show you the map and your location.
Have you downloaded tours for offline use?
Every planned tour can be downloaded to your mobile phone via the "Offline available" slider in the app. We download the map material and the tour data. How to do this is explained here. You can download only planned tours and use them with voice navigation , not the recordings you made with komoot. Note that the slider must be blue, and a small black pin will appear before the tour if it has been downloaded. If you do not see the pin, the tour is not downloaded.
I have downloaded my tours, but they are not available offline.
Once you have downloaded tours, it is important that you do not log out of the app. Of course you can close the app. But if you log out of your profile and log in again, you have to download the tours again.
- Remember to re-download the tour if you changed it, so that the changes are also available offline.
- iOS App: If you are in the app in your profile, tap "Planned" to go to the list of your planned tours and download them. Don't be redirected through the news area (XYZ has planned a tour).
- You have considered everything, but the tours are still not usable offline? Uninstall the app and log back into the app via "Log in with e-mail" (or Facebook, if you have used it before). Then try the download again. For Android devices, you can now also select again, whether we should use the USB memory of your mobile phone or the SD card to save the data on your device.
