On komoot you can plan your Tours according to different sport types. For our main sport types we offer a specific routing during the planning of a Tour. Other sport types can only be used when you save a recorded Tour and upload it to komoot.

Sport types for planning

You can use the following sports to plan your Tour in the route planner:

  • hiking
  • cycling
  • mountain bike
  • roadbike
  • running
  • cycling (with gravel)
  • Mountain biking (Enduro)
  • mountaineering

Sport types as a label for recordings

For the following sport types we cannot yet offer you a customized planning. If you save a Tour, you can later click on “Edit” in the app or on our website and additionally choose from these sport types:

  • Downhill riding
  • Climbing
  • Nordic walking
  • Skateboarding
  • Cross-country skiing
  • Skiing
  • Ski touring
  • Toboggan
  • Snowboarding
  • Snowshoeing
  • Unicycling
  • Other
