Sport types on komoot
On komoot, you can plan new routes or save completed activities as different sport types. For our main sports, we offer specific routing options when planning a route. Additional sport types can be used to label a completed activity after uploaded to komoot.
Sport types for planning on komoot
You can use the following sport types to plan your route in the route planner:
- Bikepacking
- Cycling
- Gravel riding
- Hiking
- Mountain biking
- Road cycling
- Running
Sport types as a label for completed activities
If you record and save a completed activity, you can later edit the sport type from a wider range of options.

How to edit the sport label of a completed activity
You can update the sport label for a completed activity using the komoot app or website. Follow the steps below for your device.
Edit the sport label in the komoot app
- Tap Profile.
- Tap Completed activities.
- Select the completed activity you want to edit.
- Tap the (⋯) three-dot menu in the upper right corner.
- Tap Edit details.
- Tap on the current sport label.
- Select a new sport label.
Edit the sport label on the komoot website
- Open your Profile.
- Click Completed activities.
- Select the completed activity you want to edit.
- Click Edit details.
- Click on the current sport label to update your selection.
- Select a new sport label.
- Click Done to close the sport selection window.
- Click Done again to return to your completed activity page.
