Switching map orientation
When you go to the map view of the app or start a navigation, komoot first uses your phone's compass to determine and display the direction. From 7 km/h komoot switches to GPS mode and the GPS system of your phone is used to find the direction. You can switch these display modes manually by tapping on the compass needle symbol ().
() Compass needle full – map is oriented north and centered.
() Compass needle empty – map is oriented north but not centered.
() Compass needle with line – map is aligned in the compass direction or, if the speed is more than 7 km/h, in the direction of travel.
