Creating Highlights

You can create Highlights in a variety of ways, at any time after recording a Tour, when it has been saved. You can also create a Highlight during a Tour and from a photo on Android devices. You can only create Highlights in places where you’ve been (e.g. when you’ve recorded a Tour on komoot).

After a Tour

You can create Highlights after saving a recorded Tour in your account. Here is how.

  1. Go to “Profile” > “Completed” and select the Tour you’d like to create Highlights from. 
  2. Tap on the three dots on the top right, then select “Edit.”
  3. Scroll down to “Highlights” and choose “Edit” here or “Create Highlight,” if there was no Highlight yet.
  4. You might have some suggestions of other Highlights you can rate. Check to make sure that the Highlight you want to create isn’t there already. 
  5. Skip past these to get to the option “Create a Highlight.” 
  6. Select the location you want to create the Highlight in. You can also choose to create a segment Highlight by toggling the segment option on the top. 
  7. Enter a name and select the sports type, then tap “Next.”
  8. Here you’ll have the option to upload photos and add a tip. 
  9. Click “Create Highlight” to confirm.

  5. Select the location you want to create the Highlight in. You can also choose to create a segment Highlight by toggling the segment option on the top. 
  6. Enter a name and select the sports type, then tap “Next.”
  7. Here you’ll have the option to upload photos and add a tip. 
  8. Click “Create Highlight” to confirm.
  1. Log into your account, click on your name on the top right then “Completed” and select the Tour you’d like to create Highlights from.
  2. Then click on “Edit” on the top right and choose “Highlights.”
  3. You might have some suggestions of other Highlights you can rate. Skip past these to get to the option “Create a Highlight.”
  4. Here you can either decide to pinpoint one location or to create a Highlight of a segment.
  5. Drop the pin where you want to create the Highlight. For segment Highlights, you can move the pins to select the segment you want.
  6. Click “Next” when you’re happy with your selection.
  7. Give the Highlight a name and add a helpful tip, if relevant.
  8. Click “Create Highlight” to confirm.
