Forgot your password? No problem, we’ll help you get back on track in just a few steps.

1. Request a password reset.

  • Go to the Reset Password page.
  • Enter the email linked to your komoot account.
  • Click "Send New Password."

2. Check your email.

  • Look for an email from notification@komoot.de. It’ll contain your new password.
  • If you don’t see it, check your spam or junk folder.

3. Log in with your temporary password.

  • Use the password from the email to log into your komoot account.

Attention: Requested multiple resets? Use the password from the most recent email, older ones won’t work.

4. Change your password.

Once you’re logged in, it’s best to set a password you’ll remember. Here’s how:

To reset your password within the komoot app, follow these steps:
  1. Tap the Profile icon.
  2. Go to  Settings.
  3. Select Profile Information.
  4. Select Change Password.
  5. Enter and repeat your new password.
  6. Click Done.
To reset your password using a web browser, follow these steps:
  1. Click More (three dots) next to your username.
  2. Select  Settings.
  3. Go to Account.
  4. Next to Password, Click Edit.
  5. Enter and repeat your new password.
  6. Click Change Password.

Tips for a smooth reset

  • Type it manually: Copy-pasting can sometimes add extra spaces. Typing it in helps avoid errors.
  • Still logged in? If you’re logged in on another device, you can change your password in your profile settings without needing a reset.
