Offline navigation issues
If you see an "Offline data not synchronized" message when trying to navigate offline, or routes aren't loading correctly without an internet connection, work through the steps below.
Offline data not synchronized
This message means the content needed for offline use has not finished downloading or validating on your device.
- Make sure you have downloaded both the route and the regional maps that cover your entire planned area, including the start point and any return leg.
- While still online, open the route again so the app can finish any pending synchronizations. Confirm it opens without a warning.
- Go offline and open it once more to verify.
- If the warning still appears, open the route details and use Replan this route or Plan similar route to create a fresh copy. Download the new copy for offline use and try again.
Tip: Confirm the route's starting point is inside a region you have unlocked. If the start is outside an unlocked region (for example, after reversing a route), offline storage and navigation are not available.
Still not working?
Please share the following so we can take a closer look:
- Device model, OS version, and komoot app version
- The exact error message shown
- Whether the issue affects all routes or only specific ones (include a link to an affected route if possible)
- Whether you have downloaded both the route and the regional maps covering the area
