You can request a refund for your komoot purchase if your payment falls within the following timeframes:

  • One-time purchases (e.g., maps, region bundles, World Pack): within 14 days of purchase
  • Weekly and monthly subscriptions: within 20 days of purchase
  • Yearly or multi-year subscriptions: within 60 days of purchase

If you are unsure whether you are eligible or have questions about your purchase, please submit a support request. Please include a screenshot or copy of the payment confirmation and tell us who charged you (Apple, Google Play, PayPal, or komoot). This helps us locate your purchase quickly.

How to request a refund

Choose the option below based on where you made your purchase.

If you made your purchase directly on our website (PayPal, credit card, or SEPA direct debit), follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your paid komoot account and visit the refund page.

If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to do so. Make sure you are using the correct account, the email used for the purchase. If needed, check your inbox for the payment confirmation to identify the right account.

  2. Choose whether you want to refund a one-time purchase or a subscription.
  3. Select the product you would like refunded and submit your request.

Success

If eligible, your last payment for the selected product will be automatically refunded and access to that product will be removed. Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at purchase.

You will see a confirmation on the refund page if the request was successful. Please allow 5 to 10 working days for the refund to appear. For status updates, please contact your bank, card issuer, or PayPal.

To verify whether your refund was successful:

  • Open the Shop section in the app
  • Check whether access to Premium or the relevant map product has been removed

Seeing an error that no products are available for refund?

This usually means you're logged into the wrong komoot account, and your purchase was made using a different email address.

Please try logging in with a different email (especially if you have more than one) and submit your refund request again.

Not sure which email you used? Check the payment confirmation email or search your inbox for "komoot".

  1. Open the Google Play Store
  2. Select Request a refund on Google Play
  3. Follow the steps shown there

If you made your purchase on iOS, refunds are handled exclusively by Apple.

Please follow the instructions on reportaproblem.apple.com, or see the Apple Support website. We do not have access to App Store transactions or payments.

Something not working?

If the standard refund flow didn't work for your situation, see the relevant case below.

Direct debit payment not processed yet

If your payment hasn't been processed yet, we won't be able to issue a refund. Please try again once the payment has been successfully completed. If you're unsure or your eligibility window is close to running out, check your bank statement or submit a support request for assistance. Direct debit payments may take up to two weeks to process.

Already reported the transaction as a payment issue to your bank?

Refund requests can't be processed while a dispute is open. Please wait for the dispute outcome. If the dispute is lost and you were eligible for a refund, please let us know and provide the verification details.

Charged after canceling, or seeing an error on the refund form?

If you were charged after canceling, visit the refund page and submit a request as normal — the charge should appear as an eligible product. If the form returns an error or redirects instead of submitting, please submit a support request and include a screenshot of the error.
